GFAF Expo 2017

I am thrilled to announce I’ve once again been selected to attend the Gluten Free Allergen Free Expo in Dallas as an official blogger! {insert happy dance}

Last year was my first year to attend and it was such an amazing experience. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the entire experience exceeded any expectations I may have had. The event is extremely well done and there are SO many vendors there. Everyone was extremely nice and more than willing to answer any questions about their product.

My favorite thing about the conference is I’m able to sample products before committing to purchasing an entire box of it. Let’s be honest, not all gluten free food is created equal! I love getting to touch and taste the food beforehand to get a better idea of whether I would like to buy the product. You can also find out where the products are sold, which can be key.

Come hungry and with comfy shoes on because I easily ate my way through the entire expo. The whole thing took me about 3.5 hours to walk and visit every vendor. You will also leave with TONS of samples and free product. A lot of vendors sell their product right out of their booth too. I mean check out all of that LOOT! I need to bring a backpack this year just to help carry it all!

I was so impressed by this conference last year that I am determined to make it an annual thing for me. Attending last year was what led me to create Wheatless and Happy in the first place.

My biggest takeaway from the GFAF Expo is that for the first time since my diagnosis, I was able to walk around and literally taste everything in that room. I asked questions because I was intrigued, not to determine if it was safe. It was an amazing experience to not be afraid and not have any limitations. It was a very freeing experience.

I am beyond excited to attend this year as Wheatless and Happy! I will be wearing a custom made shirt with my logo on it, so look for me and say hi if you go. I will be offering a free ticket on my instagram account, so head over there to enter!
